He is, presently, the Director of the Pune Snake Park which has a large number of snakes and some rare species. He started a unique orphanage for the injured and sick wild animals which looks after, treats and rehabilitates the wild animals. He also founded the Indian Herpetological Society which focuses on educating rural masses through exhibitions, lectures and demonstrations and creating awareness. You can click on the thumbnails below to have a look at the magnificent and rare birds and animals which were victims of human intervention or natural calamities but were looked after by him. Some of these were rehabilitated in their own habitat
